Safety Chairs - How To

• The chair is easily accessible as it is wall mounted near each stairwell for use in emergencies.
• Simply remove the chair from wall and unfold into the open position.


• Secure latch, then chair is ready to use.


• Front handles can be easily removed by depressing quick release button for easier access.

• Assist person into chair.


• Replace handle if one was removed while loading evacuee.


• Secure arm and leg straps if needed.


• Secure chest straps.
 

• Wheel evacuee into position for evacuation down stairs or relocation up stairs.
• When second person is in position and evacuee is strapped in, lift evacuee.
• Evacuate down stairs* in event of emergency evacuation out of structure.


* Evacuee should always be facing upstairs.

• Relocate up stairs* in event of smoke, fire, debris or other obstruction by simply reversing path.


* Evacuee should always be facing upstairs.

• Once out of the building evacuee can be wheeled quickly and safely out of harms way.
• The Safety chair is extremely lightweight and can be easily folded for re-entry into the building or can be re-mounted on wall for future use.
• The Safety Chair’s 6 points of lift allow additional people to assist in the evacuation if necessary. The side handles are also removable in the event of a tight stairwell in older buildings.
